Trying new things

My niece EH is a great budding artist. She has so much talent and practices at least an hour a day. She started playing around with digital art and has come so far in such a short. While visiting she let me doodle on her I pad and I fell in love. After just getting a new computer there was no way I was going out and buying an I pad. Hubby bought me a wacom pad.  I not going to lie, I don't love it. I like to hold and turn my art as I work on it and you just can't do that with this pad. Maybe I will get used to it. After playing around and learning a few things I would like to share my first finished piece. Do I love, not really. There is always room for improvement.
I also need to work on my signature. It felt more right to do JAE. That is how I signed my work before I got married almost 14 years ago. Now I fell I should do JA or JAA by I don't like how ether of those really look. I also don't like how I sign my whole name. It is so messy and not cute at all.

Until next time

Starting this back up. Not that I posted much before

We just got done with Spring break.  During it I have some time to think about what I want to do with my time and my life. Between the the kids swimming and seeing old friends from before moved. I kept thinking I should keep track of things better. I have been thinking about this for YEARS. It is time for a change.  This will be a blog about everything. I will share things about my kids, the crafts and art I make and maybe a little cooking.

So lets start with spring break.

Spring break started with us driving to Moab for the night. In the morning we let the birthday boy B decide what he wanted to do. Arches National Park  with a hike to delicate arch. It was beautiful and amazing, but it was a long hard hike. I am not in shape and my little T is a slow hiker. After getting back to the car we started our drive to Northern Utah.

That night was a movie night for the birthday boy.  He picked Pacific Rim. Dad, him, his best friend P, Cousin EH and uncle C  had a great time. I stayed at the hotel with the 3 little K,M, and T. We just had 5 guys and went swimming. After the Movie I dropped P and B at P's house for a sleepover.

Sunday was spent with my husbands brothers TB and CC  and own nieces EH and CJ. EH drove me to the store in the snow. She is still new to driving but did a great job.  We stopped at Joann's so she could by some art supplies  and  Walmart for eye drops and dinner.

Monday was a lazy day at the pool.

Tuesday we spent most of the day at the pool. First just me and the kids. Then we had P join us for a few hours. Then later with hubby's family.

On Wednesday  I went and got my girls BFF's from when we all lived there. We moved and then they moved so it was great to be in the same state at the same time.  We went swimming for hours. dinner was spent at Carl's Jr so they could play a bit more.

Thursday  we went to the park with the girls' friends. They left early with their aunt. The park we were at happened to be right by the my nieces schools. I drove them home. CJ watched my kids so EH and I could go for a drive.  One on one with there girls is the best.

Friday we hang out at TB's a day full of watching Youtube. It was on how to alter dolls. New hair. makeup and clothes. I am a sucker for trying new things and plan on trying it soon. The older 3 kids have dolls they want to alter as well.

Saturday we went to my family Easter lunch. Then it was back to TB's for dinner and a moving.

Sunday was mostly just packing up and getting ready for the drive home the next day.

Monday. The drive took FOREVER we had to stop for BS(hubby) to finish work calls. Cell service is a bit spotting the way we travel. There was also a small mishap of missing a turn off.

Altogether it was a great spring break. I really loved seeing old friends and getting to know my amazing nieces.
